Album: The Other Side
I am little late at getting myself up to speed musically, but I found an album worth an excellent review. My friend’s bf (Sergio aka “angies-son” on tumblr - he sorta looks like Prince, but that’s not important) told me about the new Nina Sky album: The Other Side. The video I posted is the first single off their new album: You Ain’t Got It (Funk That). I was a bit apprehensive since I didn’t want to hear another pimped out regaeton/pop song. To the contrary, the album was a proverbial slap in the face to my previous comment. It embodies fresh 90’s hip-hop & pop beats mixed with a more heartfelt mature style of writing. Ni(cole) & Na(talie) put a lot of work into the album writing lyrics and being heavily involved in the production process. I always felt that they were akward in their skin a la “Move Ya Body” music video.
You can download the album (free here) on their website www.ninaskyhigh.com - they have a bunch of vlogs documenting their creation of “The Other Side” in addition to Nicole’s DJ set’s and dates as Ni** Sky.
Definitely worth checking out!

Hello world.
Just created this. Going to use it to recommend music, post pictures of myself along with other shenanigans.
You know what I mean.Twenty-six year old semi-introverted sarcastic homosexual math aficionado. Slightly out of control, but mostly hilarious. Never know where to put my hands when I'm standing and talking. On the cubbish side of the gay community, but somewhat despite the bear scene.
Finished my Master's in Math at UCI in Spring '08 and began working as a Math Professor in the Bay Area. Yeah, my students love me.
